EDGAR AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED
The 60th MWA awards banquet was held this evening and the Edgar Award winners were announced. The winners were as follows:
Best Novel: CITIZEN VINCE, Jess Walter
Best First Novel by an American Author: OFFICER DOWN, Theresa Schwegel
Best Paperback Original: GIRL IN THE GLASS, Jeffrey Ford
Best Critical/Biographical GIRL SLEUTH: Nancy Drew and the Women Who Created Her, Melanie Rehak

AWARDS GIVEN FOR SERVICE TO MYSTERY FIELD
Elizabeth Foxwell and Margaret Kinsman received the George N. Dove Award from the Detective/Mystery Caucus of the Popular Culture Association on April 14th. The award was presented during the caucus's business meeting at PCA's Annual Conference in Atlanta, Georgia.
Foxwell is Managing Editor for the journal "Clues: A Journal of Detection , America's only scholarly journal on mystery and detective fiction an Agatha Award winner; producer and host of "It's a Mystery," a weekly radio program on mysteries; and coauthor of THE ROBERT B PARKER COMPANION (Berkley, 2005).
Kinsman is the Executive Editor of "Clues: A Journal of Detection".
The award recognizes "outstanding contributions to the serious study of mystery and crime fiction" and is named for the late George N. Dove, a pioneer in mystery scholarship.
