DILYS AWARD WINNER
Deadline News apologizes to IMBA for, well, for forgetting that the announcement of the 2006 Dilys Award took place during Left Coast Crime last weekend.
Congratulations go to Colin Coterill whose THIRTY-THREE TEETH won the 2006 Dilys. This award, given by the Independent Mystery Booksellers Association for books that IMBA members most enjoyed selling in the previous year.

GUMSHOE AWARD NOMINEES ANNOUNCED
Gumshoe Awards 2006 The Gumshoe Awards are given by Mystery Ink each year to recognize the best achievements in the world of crime fiction. The nominated books were chosen from those published for the first time in the United States in 2005. The winners will be announced on May 9, 2006.

LEFT COAST CRIME AWARDS ANNOUNCED
At Saturday's gala banquet at Left Coast Crime, being held this year in Bristol, England. the following award winners were honored.
The winner of The Lefty, given for best humorous crime novel, was Peter Guttridge for CAST ADRIFT.
And winning the Bruce Alexander Award, for the best historical crime novel,was Tony Broadbent for SPECTRES IN THE SMOKE.

LEFT COAST CRIME ANNOUNCES AWARD NOMINEES
Left Coast Crime 2006, held this year in Bristol England, March 16-10 has announced the nominees for the Lefty Award, for the most humorous mystery novel of 2005 and the Brice Alexander Award, to be given for the best historical mystery of 2005. The awaerds will be given at the "Gala Dinner" on March 18.
