AGATHA AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED
At tonight's awards banquet at Malice Domestic, the Agatha Awards were given. They were as follows:
Best Novel: BIRDS OF A FEATHER, Jacqueline Winspear Best First Novel: DATING DEAD MEN, Harley Jane Kozak Best Nonfiction: PRIVATE EYE-LASHES: Radio's Lady Detectives, Jack French Best Short Story: "Wedding Knife" from CHESAPEAKE CRIMES, Elaine Viets Best Children's/Young Adult Novel: CHASING VERMEER, Blue Balliet
The Golden Hatpin Award for humor (given in the name of Charlotte MacLeod) was awarded to Joan Hess
Special Guests for next year's Malice Domestic were also announced: They are Guest of Honor: Katherine Hall Page Toastmaster: Kate Grilley Lifetime Achievement Recipient: Robert Barnard Ghost of Honor: Craig Rice

At the MWA's awards banquet tonight, the Edgars were announced. The winners are:
