BRITISH CWA ELLIS PETERS HISTORICAL DAGGER AND DEBUT DAGGER NOMINEES

The "short list" for the CWA (Crime Writers' Association) Ellis Peters Historical Dagger and for the "Debut Dagger" have been made public. The winners will be announced on October 19 (Ellis Peters) and November 9 (Debut).

The short listed books for the Ellis Peters Hitorical Dagger are:

ERLE STANLEY GARDNER MYSTERY WEEKEND

On Nov. 6 and 7, Temecula, CA will host its third annual Erle Stanley Gardner Mystery Weekend and is offering an Erle Stanley Gardner Mystery Writing Contest. Prizes will be given in both adult and youth categories. The Temecula Valley Museum, in conjunction with the City of Temecula and the Temecula Valley Players will host a participatory murder mystery throughout the streets of Old Town Temecula.

Other events include a classic car show, cowboy poetry evening, mystery-writing seminars from published authors, and speakers who knew or worked with Erle Stanley Gardner.
